Hi Everyone, This is Sibyl,
Stephi's bones and joints are aching today. This
may well mean the Neupogen is doing its job. Lots
of stemcells growing and expanding and getting
Ready for Pheresis and transplant. Keep those
prayers coming. We need five million of those
big boys.
Speaking of big boys, a major domo kiss to our
brother, David. He is "Caregiving the CareGiver"
sending me for a Spa Day to get a massage, manicure
and pedicure. I am going to go once Stephi is in
isolation for the Bone Marrow transplant. Kisses
all over your face, DJ Sweetie, Thank you.
It takes a village.
We had a special lunch and a movie yesterday
with our friends Rev. Bryan Dahms, his wife Paula,
and David Winter. We are watching the Alpha
Series produced by David Frost. It is
very comforting and thought-provoking.
And last night, a huge box with M&M logos
all over it was sitting on the front porch when
we got back from the Cancer Center. My
daughter, Phaedra, who is a Manager for
Mars Company, had candies embossed with
special messages for Stephi in her favorite
lavenders and blues, delivered to sweeten
her day. And, It worked. Thank you, Honey.
This weekend, Stephi went to stay at Ken's
Assisted Living apartment. It is not the safest thing
for her to do with immunity problems however,
if the bone marrow transplant is possible next week,
she will not see her husband for 2 months (Hospital and
home isolations) That is a judgment call that is all hers.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Kansas City Literary Festival
is being held on the Plaza. I have tickets for lunch with
the poet Laureate of Missouri and and gangload of
James Joyce Ulysses activities and play. The weather is
great so maybe everything is starting to turn around.
Love,
Sib
